Link building is crucial for your business however before we begin with creating and researching for quality backlinks for your website, we perform a keyword research test in order to find what your customers type on search engines to find businesses like yours, say example, if you are into nail salon or nail art then we need to find keywords for nail salon. In the same way, if your business is about beauty products then we need to find the keywords for beauty products and the same if you own a spa or cosmetics store then we go for keywords for spa and keywords for cosmetics.

You are right Daniel, the moz bar still hs that listed and confuses me sometimes, Meta Keywords were obsolete in 2009 and are not a ranking factor.
