Big Country Sporting Goods Case Study With Verified Results
Big Country Sporting Goods, BigCommerce Redesign, SEO, and PPC
Big Country Sporting Goods is an ecommerce retailer carrying a deep selection of hunting, archery, fishing, outdoor, shooting-sports, and sporting accessories from many manufacturers. Customers need to find specific products by activity, brand, product type, technical specification, and price, while search engines need clear structure across thousands of category and product pages. Egochi redesigned the BigCommerce storefront and ran integrated SEO and PPC focused on product discovery, qualified traffic, and ecommerce revenue.
The Challenge
The previous website exposed too much catalog without a clear way through it. Overlapping categories, manufacturer pages, and product variations made it hard for shoppers to find the right equipment, and the same sprawl created duplicated, competing pages in organic search. Paid campaigns needed tighter control too: broad advertising attracted low-intent traffic and risked promoting products restricted by advertising-platform policies.
Strategy & Solution
Egochi reorganized the catalog around major sporting activities, product families, and brands, improving category paths, filters, and internal search. SEO prioritized the commercially important category, brand, and product pages, consolidated duplicate paths, and structured product information around the exact terminology customers search with. PPC and Shopping campaigns split by category, margin, and intent, with product-feed improvements, negative keywords, and policy-aware inventory exclusions keeping ads on eligible, in-stock products.
